About the Author - Jane Yolen:

Jane Yolen, called “the Hans Christian Anderson of America”, has received numerous awards for her children’s books, including the Regina Medal from the Catholic Library Association and the Kerlan Award from the University of Minnesota for her body of work. She has written or edited more than fifteen books for Boyd Mills Press, including SkyCrape/City Scape: Poems of City Life, illustrated by Ken Condon, an American Bookseller Pick of the Lists. She lives in St. Andrews, Scotland, and Hatfield, Massachusetts.
